About

Yeah, yeah, yeah…the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice and whatnot.  Since that phrase has absolutely nothing to do with this blog, I feel like I should explain myself.  For the record, it’s not very often that I feel like I owe an explanation for my thoughts/actions (and even less often that I actually provide one) but the LEAST I can do is to try and explain to anyone who stumbles across this blog what Black Berriez, is – and what it ain’t.

What it is:  A blog written by a black chick in her mid-twenties about ish she thinks is relevant to her life.
What it ain’t:  A blog about fruit or that phone that I can’t stand.  You know which one I’m talking about.

What it is:  A place for me to express my thoughts and opinions about life, the universe, and everything through posts that may consist of videos, poetry, prose (that fancy English major talk for just regular ol’ writing), bad drawings in Microsoft Paint, and the occassional rant.
What it ain’t:  A diary.  I’ve had enough of those in my life.  I’d like to interact with the people that visit this site.  Sharing is caring.  Tell me what you think.

What it is:  Serious, funny, irreverent, thoughtful, provoking, and – at times – contradictory.
What it ain’t:  The opposite of what I just wrote, which would make it even more contradictory.

I could go on and on, but that would be boring.  Since I am actively trying not to be boring (and may epically fail in this endeavor), I encourage you to visit some other portion of the blog that has more entertainment value.  I don’t know why people read the about section anyway…
